On the 27th Jul the brig Islay, Captain Galt, from Sydney, bound to China, was stranded on the island of Raas. The Sultan of Sumanup sent assistance to her, and it was expected that part of her cargo would be saved; which consisted of sandal and cedar wood.- SG & SGTL 23 Mar 1844 ^ back to top ^ |
