The Ariel with merchandise and stores for the Roman Catholic Mission
|
This fine brigantine, which was sold last week, has undergone a complete overhaul, and is again nearly ready for sea, with merchandise and stores for the Roman Catholic Mission, who have chartered her to proceed to New Caledonia. St. Christoval, and adjoining islands, under the command of Captain Sturgeon, from Hobart Town. She is provided with a double crew, is also well armed, and an excellent boarding netting is being prepared, in the event of any attack from the natives.
