There are lists stuck up in the Water Police Office, of two hundred and twenty-three seamen's tickets which have been cancelled up to July, 1845, at the General Registry Office in London. Masters of vessels or other persons employing seamen under such cancelled register tickets, are liable to a fine of �20, and any seaman working under such cancelled registers are liable to forfeit all wages which may be due to them.
