The Governor has appointed John M'Lerie, Esq., Superintendent of Police, Sydney, to sanction the discharge of Seamen in New South Wales, as required by the 46th section of the Act of the Imperial Parliament, 7th and 8th Victoria, cap. 112, intituled, " An Act to amend and consolidate the laws relating to merchant seamen, and for keeping a register of seamen," and all persons concerned are hereby required to take notice accordingly.
