The following notice appears in Tuesday's Government Gazette "His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, in conformity with the provisions of the Act of the Governor and Legislative Council 11th Victoria, No. 3, to nominate and appoint the undermentioned gentlemen to constitute a Board for the inspection and regulation of seagoing steam and other vessels carrying Passengers in and from the Colony of New South Wales, viz. :-

John George Nathaniel Gibbes, Esq., Collector of Customs, Chairman ;
Merion Marshall Moriarty, Esq. R.N., Port Master,
Hutchinson Hothersall Browne, Esq., Water Police Magistrate,
William Salmon Deloitte, Esq., and
Robert Towns, Esq.
