The steamer Waterman, which was built to ply between Sydney and Balmain was offered at public auction, on Tuesday, by Mr. Stubbs, and, after some competition, was knocked down to Mr. Entwistle, for �300.

The Kangaroo has been laid up to have her boilers repaired, and will not resume her trips to Wollongong for some weeks.

The steamer Shamrock is undergoing extensive repairs, and it is expected that she will leave for Port Phillip on Saturday next.
