General Notes.-These boats belong to the 1909-18 [sic] Programme, and were formerly known as the Basilisk class, or "The Mediterranean Beagles."
- Displace 897 to 995 tons.
- Dimensions: average 274.125 x 28 x 10 feet.
- Armament: 1-4 inch, 3-12 pdr.,* 1-3 pdr. A.A.,� 1 M.G., 2-22 inch tubes.
- Average H.P. 12.500 = 27 kts. 3 screws. Boilers: Yarrow in all, except Basilisk and Harpy, with White-Forster. Coal: 200-241 tons.
- Complements for all, 96.
- All made 27 or a little over on trials, except Grampus 28.1, Basilisk 27.9, Harpy and Foxhound 27.7.
- Are the only coal-burning Destroyers now in British Navy, and will probably be scrapped within the next two years.
War Losses.- Pincher, Racoon, Wolverine.
