Badge Pay to Petty Officers.
Her Majesty, by Her Order in Council dated the 12th April, 1859, having been graciously pleased to authorize the payment of Badge Money to all Petty Officers serving in Her Majesty's Fleet, who are already in possession of, or who may become entitled to Good Conduct Badges, and who under existing regulations would receive no additional pay for the same:
My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty desire it to be notified for general information, that from and after the 1st May, 1859, every Petty Officer will be paid for such Badges as may have been, or may be conferred on him, at the same rate as that granted to Able Seamen ; viz ., One Penny per diem extra far each Good Conduct Badge they are entitled to wear.
