Whereas there has been recently established a Naval Coal Depot at Coquimbo :
And whereas an extra amount of responsibility and work is thrown thereby on the Commanding Officer of H.M.S. "Liffey" and 2 Chief Writers of that Ship :
We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty will be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction allowances of Fifty Pounds a year to the Commanding Officer,
and of One Shilling a day to each of the two Chief Writers, for duties in connection with the Coal Depot, such allowances to be continued so long as the work for which they are granted has to be done.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence herein.
