Whereas the duties of Organist and Choirmaster in Your Majesty's Ship "Britannia " have hitherto been carried out by separate persons receiving allowances of �10 and �36 per annum respectively :

And whereas it appears to us to be desirable that the duties should be combined and an allowance established for their due performance, together with an allowance for blowing the Organ :

We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty will be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction allowances of �30 and �3 per annum respectively to the persons,

not necessarily outside the Naval Service, who perform the combined duties of Organist and Choirmaster, and the duty of Organ-blower.

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence herein.
