Re-Arrangement of the Number of Greenwich Hospital Pensions Awarded to Lieutenants and Warrant Officers.

Whereas by Your Majesty's Order in Council of the 19 of May, 1884, and 12 of December, 1885. Naval and Greenwich Hospital Pensions are allotted to Lieutenants, Chief Gunners, Chief Boatswains, and Chief Carpenters of Your Majesty's Navy, as follows, viz. : -

And whereas we are of opinion that it is desirable to allot an additional �35 pension to each of the three latter ranks.
We beg leave, therefore, humbly to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction the following arrangements : -
I To reduce the number of Greenwich Hospital Pensions allotted to Lieutenants from three to one.
II. To allot from the money thus made available one additional pension of �35 a year to each of the following ranks: -
Chief Gunner ;
Chief Boatswain ;
Chief Carpenter ;
the further sum of �5 a year which is required to make up the total of �105 being provided out of Greenwich Hospital Funds.
