Admiralty Order in Council No. 39.
10 March, 1894.
A.G.
Whereas by Appendix XVIL, page 980, of the Regulations established for the government of Your Majesty's Naval Service, it is provided, that Command Money at the rate of Two shillings a day is to be paid to all Officers of whatever rank below that of Lieutenant, whom it may be found requisite to place in command of a Torpedo Boat, not carried on board Ship, and whereas it is occasionally found necessary to employ such Officers in command of Vessels other than Torpedo Boats.
We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty will be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to approve of the same rate of Command Money being paid to these Officers when placed in command of any of Your Majesty's Vessels. This Regulation to take effect from 1st January 1893.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
