Admiralty Order in Council No. 60
15 October, 1894.
N.
Whereas the expansion of Your Majesty's Fleet and the general increase in the requirements of the Royal Navy have rendered it necessary that the training of Boys should be accelerated as much as possible ; and whereas we have, with this object in view, thought it expedient to commission Your Majesty's Ship "Northampton" as a Seagoing Training Ship for Boys.
We beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty will be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction the payment of the allowances set forth in the accompanying Schedule in connection with the Training Service carried out in Your Majesty's Ship "Northampton."
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in these proposals.
