Allowance to Petty Officers for Charge of Warrant Officers' Stores
|
Admiralty Order in Council No. 90b,
29 June, 1896.
A,G.
Whereas, it has been found necessary to place Warrant Officers' Stores in H.M. Ships in charge of Chief and First Class Petty Officers, under certain circumstances. We beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction the payment to such Petty Officers, from the 1st April 1896, of the allowance which would under the Regulations be paid to Warrant Officers for the same duties, such allowances to be paid only when there is no Commissioned or Warrant Officer, whom it is possible, or expedient, to place in charge of the Stores. The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence to this proposal.
