Allowance to Inspecting Bandmaster of Training Ships Increased
|
Admiralty Order in Council No. 129
N.
26 October, 1896.
Whereas the remuneration allowed to the Inspecting Bandmaster of Your Majesty's Training Ships for Boys, for the inspection and supervision of the Bands in the Training Ships of Your Majesty's Navy, was fixed at 30 per annum in 1881.
And whereas the duties and responsibility devolving upon the Inspecting Bandmaster have been recently increased to a large extent, in consequence of the commissioning of Your Majesty's Ships "Caledonia," "Northampton," and "Black Prince," as additional Training Ships.
We therefore beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by your Order in Council to sanction an increase of the allowance granted to the Inspecting Bandmaster for the inspection of the Bands in Your Majesty's Training Ships for Boys from 30 per annum to 50 per annum.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
