Rate of Pay of Draughtsmen Increased

Whereas by Your Majesty's Order in Council dated 11th May 1895 the substantive rating of Draughtsman was created in Your Majesty's Navy as a Non-Continuous Service rating with pay of Four Shillings (4s.) a day from 1st April 1895, and
Whereas we are now of opinion that the pay of these men should be raised to Five Shillings and Sixpence a day, inclusive of provisions, or allowance in lieu,
We beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by your Order in Council to sanction for the rating of Draughtsman an inclusive rate of pay of Five shillings and Sixpence (5s. 6d.) a day for pay and provisions, from 7th August 1896.
The Lords Commissioners of your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence herein.
