Allowance to Persons Employed on Printing Duties in the Offices of Commanders-In-Chief

Whereas by Your Majesty's Order in Council of 20th November 1894 an allowance at the rate of �16 a year was granted to the Marine or other person employed as Printer in the Office of the Commander-in-Chief at the Nore.
And whereas we are of opinion that the payment of this allowance should be extended to the persons whom it is found necessary to employ on printing duties in the Offices of other Commanders-in-Chief.
We beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction the payment of the foregoing allowance to all persons so employed from the 1st January 1897 or from date of commencing duty when subsequent thereto.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
