Extension Pay to Engine-Room Artificers, Carpenters' Mates and Shipwrights on Re-Engagement after Completing Time for Pension

Whereas by Your Majesty's Order in Council of the 14th August, I878, and 20th April, 1880, all Continuous Service Petty Officers of the Seaman Class, Artificers (except Engine-room Artificers and Skilled Artificers) and Stokers who re-engage for a further period of service after completing time for pension, are granted an addition of 6dl. a day to their pay.
And whereas we are of opinion that the payment of this allowance should be extended to the following ratings with a view to encourage them to re-engage after they have completed time for pension : -
Chief Engine Room Artificers.
Engine Room Artificers.
Chief Carpenter's Mates.
Carpenter�s Mate.
Leading Shipwrights,
Shipwrights
We humbly beg leave to submit that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to direct that the foregoing ratings shall be eligible for extension pay of 6d. a day on re-engagement for a further period of service after completion of time for pension, and that the time served in receipt of extension pay shall count towards increase of pension.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal
