Allowance to the Person who Plays the Harmonium and Conducts the Choir during Divine Service on H.M.S. "Vernon."

Whereas it is provided in Article 1485, clause d, of the Regulations for the government of Your Majesty's Navy, that an allowance of 2s. a week is to be paid to any properly qualified person of the Ship's Company who plays the Harmonium or any other suitable instrument, and conducts the Choir during Divine Service on board Your Majesty's Torpedo School Ship at Devonport ;

And whereas Divine Service is now held on board Your Majesty's Torpedo School Ship " Vernon " at Portsmouth ;

We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty will be graciously pleased, by Your Order in Council, to approve of a similar allowance being granted to the person performing like duties on board the " Vernon,"

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
