Instruction Allowance to Gunnery and Torpedo Instructors while Qualifying for Warrant Rank at the Schools

Whereas by the Regulations for the Government of your Majesty's Naval Service, Gunnery Instructors and Torpedo Instructors are paid an allowance of 8d. a day while borne on Ship's books for such duties :

And whereas we consider it desirable to give these men further encouragement to qualify for Warrant rank.

We beg leave to recommend that, in future, Gunnery and Torpedo Instructors who may be selected to qualify for Warrant rank shall receive, while going through the qualifying course at the Gunnery or Torpedo Schools, the Instruction Allowance aforesaid.

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty s Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
