Courses of Instruction at the Home Ports for Engineer Officers of the R.N.R. - Pay and Allowances

Whereas we have had under our consideration the question of the instruction of Engineer Officers of the Royal Naval Reserve in the types of machinery in use in Your Majesty's Navy :
And whereas we are of opinion that periodical Courses of Instruction for such Officers should be permanently established at the Home Ports :
We therefore beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty will be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction arrangements being made for Engineer Officers of the Royal Naval Reserve to undergo a course of instruction lasting three months at one of the Home Ports, the Officers attending the Classes to receive the following rates of pay and allowances, viz.: -
Senior Engineers : -

at 20s. per diem each. |
| Mess Allowance |
at 2s. per diem each. |
| Provision Allowance |
at 1s. 6d per diem each. |
| Lodging Allowance |
at 3s. 6d. per diem each. |
Engineers : -
| Pay |
at 17s. per diem each. |
| Mess Allowance |
at 2s. per diem each. |
| Provision Allowance |
at 1s. 6d per diem each. |
| Lodging Allowance |
at 3s. 6d. per diem each. |
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in these proposals.
