Baggage for Medical Officers when travelling on Duty - Addition of 2 cwt. allowed
|
Admiralty Order in Council No. 43
2nd February 1899.
A.G.
Whereas we have had under consideration the allowance of baggage at present granted to Medical Officers when travelling on duty, under the scale laid down in Appendix XXIX. to the Regulations for the government of Your Majesty's Naval Service.
And whereas we are of opinion that in view of the large number of professional books and instruments which form a necessary part of the equipment of Medical Officers, this scale is inadequate.
We beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction an addition of two cwt. to the Scale Allowance of such Officers.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
