Store Allowance to be paid in the Gunnery Schools at Portsmouth, Sheerness, and Devonport

Admiralty Order in Council No. 59

19th May 1S99.

O.S.

Whereas we have had under our consideration the question of the charge of Warrant Officers' stores in the Gunnery Schools at Portsmouth, Devonport and Sheerness, and in Your Majesty's vessels attached as tenders thereto; also in Your Majesty's gunboats attached as tenders to the Torpedo School at Portsmouth ;

And whereas we are of opinion that certain modifications are desirable in the rates of Store Allowance granted by Your Majesty's Order in Council of the 16th May 1893 for the charge of stores in the Gunnery School at Devonport, and are also of opinion that it is desirable to grant Store Allowance for the charge of Warrant Officers' stores in the Gunnery Schools at Portsmouth and Sheerness, in the seagoing gun-vessel tenders attached thereto, and in a seagoing gunboat tender attached to the Torpedo School at Portsmouth ;

We therefore beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction the rates of Store Allowance embodied in the subjoined schedule, and to approve of this regulation taking effect from the 1st January 1899 ;

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in these proposals.
