Admiralty Order in Council No. 100.
15 May 1900.
A.G.
Whereas Your Majesty was graciously pleased by Your Order in Council of 29 June 1895 to sanction payment of an allowance of 1s. a day to the Engineer Officer in Charge of the Horsea Island Torpedo Range,
And whereas we are of opinion that the duties of the Engineer Officer employed at the Torpedo Range at Devonport have become of sufficient importance to warrant a similar payment being made ;
We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty will be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction payment of the same from 1st April 1900, and further to authorize us to award the allowance in future at any other Torpedo Range when, in our opinion, the duties are of sufficient importance to warrant its payment.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majestys Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
