Admiralty Order in Council. No. 131

13 December 1900.

N.

Whereas we are of opinion that it is expedient to advance His Royal Highness George Frederick Ernest Albert, Duke of York, K.G., K.T., K.P., G.C.V.O., Personal Naval Aide-de-Camp to Your Majesty, to the rank of Rear- Admiral in Your Majesty's Fleet :

We most humbly submit that your Majesty may be graciously pleased to approve of such promotion taking place from the 1st January 1901, and of His Royal Highness being supernumerary to the established number of Rear-Admirals :

We would further submit that such promotion shall not entail the resignation by His Royal Highness of the appointment he now holds as Personal Naval Aide-de-Camp to Your Majesty.
