Admiralty Order in Council No. 141

9 February 1901.

Whereas by an Order in Council of Her late Majesty bearing date the 29th November 1884, an allowance of Five Pounds per annum was authorised for the duty of playing the Harmonium at Divine Service in the Church on the Island of Ascension ;

And whereas we are of opinion that the Allowance is insufficient and should be increased to Ten Pounds per annum ;

We beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty will be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction this increased allowance, and that it may be paid to any qualified person performing the duty.

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
