Whereas by Article 2170, paragraph 6, of the Regulations for the government of Your Majesty's Naval Service, moneys allowances at the rate of 1s. or 2s. a week, according to circumstances, may be paid from the funds of Greenwich Hospital to Naval Pensioners admitted into Hospitals or Infirmaries, and whereas we deem it expedient to extend the payment of the allowance to men who may not be Naval Pensioners.
We beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty will be graciously pleased by Your order in Council to authorize the payment of the allowance at the minimum rate of 1s a week to non-pensioners, to take effect from the 12th day of November 1900.
