Increase in the Allowance paid to the Accountant Officer at Queenstown Port Guard Ship

Admiralty Order in Council No. 177.

4 November 1901.

Whereas the recent development of Your Majesty's Naval Yard at Haulbowline has materially increased the duties of the Auditing Officer at that Yard :

And whereas we are of opinion that the allowance at present paid to the Accountant Officer of Your Majesty's Port Guard Ship at Queenstown, on account of such duties, is inadequate :

We therefore humbly recommend that Your Majesty will, by Your Order in Council, sanction the increase of this allowance from 30 to 60 per annum, to take effect from the 26th July last.

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have concurred in this proposal.
