Drawing of Disability Pensions while serving under Admiralty - Sanctioned

Admiralty Order in Council No. 205.

24 April 1902.

C.

Whereas by the Regulations for the . Government of Your Majesty's Naval Service, it is provided that Pensioners who have been granted Naval Pensions for Injury or for Disability, will not be allowed to draw the same whilst serving in the Navy, nor whilst employed in any of the Naval Establishments:

And whereas we are of opinion that it is desirable to amend this rule :

We beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to direct that all such Pensioners may be permitted to draw their pensions while employed in Naval or Civil Establishments under the Admiralty and in other cases at the discretion of the Board of Admiralty :

We further submit that all such Pensioners who may be enrolled under the provisions of the Naval Reserve Act 1900 may be allowed to draw their Pensions subject to such rules as may be framed by us with the consent of the Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury :

The foregoing proposals to take effect as from the first day of April 1902:

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have concurred in these proposals.
