Admiralty Order in Council No. 209.
11 June 1902.
A.G.
Whereas we have had under our consideration the pay and position of the two Assistant Paymasters appointed for duty with the Chief of the Staff on the Mediterranean Station, and borne for the performance of secretarial duties with the Commodore of Your Majesty's Yachts, respectively :
And whereas we are satisfied that the duties which these Assistant Paymasters are called upon to perform are both onerous and responsible and differ from those attaching generally to appointments in Your Majesty's Navy held by Officers of this rank ;
We therefore beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction payment of a special allowance of 2s. 6d. a day to each of these two Officers as from the 1st January 1902.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
