Increased pay and allowances to Head Sisters and Nursing Sisters of H.M. Queen Alexandra's R.N. Nursing Service

Whereas under Your Majesty's Royal Warrant of the Twenty-seventh day of March, 1902, Your Majesty was pleased to approve of the establishment of Her Majesty Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service, and of certain alterations in the pay, allowances, and leave until then assigned to the Members of Your Majesty's Army Nursing Service ;

And whereas it appears to us desirable that the pay, allowances, and leave of Her Majesty Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service should be similarly improved :

We beg leave humbly to submit that Your Majesty will be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to approve, as from the first day of April, 1902, of the following scales of pay, allowances, and leave to the Head Sisters and Nursing Sisters, viz. : -

Pay and Allowances.

Head Sisters.

Pay. - One Hundred and Twenty-five Pounds to One Hundred and Sixty pounds per annum by annual increments of five pounds.

Nursing Sisters.

Pay, - Thirty-seven pounds ten shillings to Fifty Pounds per annum, by annual increments of Two pounds ten shillings.

Allowance to one acting as Head Sister at Malta Ten pounds per annum.

Allowance for Board and Washing -

At Haslar, Plymouth and Chatham Hospitals.- Fifteen shillings per week.
At Dartmouth Sick Quarters.- Nineteen shillings per week.
At Malta Hospital.- Twenty-one shillings per week.

Charge Pay to Senior Sister in Charge of Hospital Ship, One shilling and six pence per diem.

Leave

Head Sisters.- Forty-two days per annum.

Nursing Sisters.- Thirty-five days per annum.

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in these proposals.
