Whereas the Regulations governing Your Majesty's Naval Service provide for payment of Table Monty to Flag Officers at fixed rates, ranging from �4 10s. 0d. to �1 10s. 0d. a day according to the nature of the appointments held ;

And whereas we are of opinion that it is expedient to arrange for these rates to be varied when the circumstances of the individual appointments appear to warrant an alteration ;

We therefore humbly beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to empower us to award, at our discretion, such rates of Table Money to Flag Officers within a maximum of �4 10s. 0d. a day, as in our opinion the circumstances of each case may warrant.

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
