Allowance to an Engineer Officer attached to a Sea-going Base for T.B. Destroyers
|
Admiralty Order in Council No. 217
11 August 1902.
N.
Whereas we consider that it may be desirable in certain cases to attach to a sea-going base for Torpedo Boat Destroyers an Engineer Officer for service with the Destroyers, to be additional to the Engineer Officer in charge of the Machinery of the Ship:
And whereas we are of opinion that an Engineer Officer appointed for this service should receive an allowance not exceeding five shillings per day, the maximum laid down for charge of Machinery of Ships :
We therefore beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction from the first day of April 1902, the grant of an allowance in any such case, the amount to be decided by us according to the importance of the work, but not to exceed five shillings per day.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
N. 11201 / 1902.
