Boom Defence Stores at Southampton, Portland, Plymouth, and Sheerness - Allowance of 1s. a day to Officer in charge
|
Admiralty Order in Council No. 227.
19 November 1902.
Whereas we have had under our consideration the pay and position of the Commissioned and Warrant Officers in charge of the Boom Defence Stores at Southampton, Portland, Plymouth, and Sheerness :
And whereas we are of opinion that in view of the responsibility and labour involved in taking charge of, and accounting for, these stores, an allowance of 1s. a day should be granted for the duty :
We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty will be graciously pleased, by Your Order in Council, to sanction payment of this allowance as from 1st April 1902, and further to authorise us to extend the payment to Portsmouth if it should be found necessary hereafter to appoint an officer in charge of the Boom Defence Stores at that port.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
N.P. 3846 / 1902.
