Allowance to Naval Schoolmasters conducting Night Schools in Gunnery and Torpedo Schools extended to Gunnery School at Sheerness, and to any other such Schools subsequently established

Admiralty Order in Council No. 29

20 May 1903.

Whereas by the Regulations for the Government of Your Majesty's Naval Service, Appendix VI., Part 2, No; 48, the allowance of One shilling a day payable to the Naval Schoolmaster selected to conduct Night Schools is at present restricted to the Gunnery and Torpedo School ships at Portsmouth and Devonport.

And whereas we are of opinion that it is desirable to extend this allowance to the Gunnery School at Sheerness from 7th April 1902 and, at our discretion, to any other Gunnery or Torpedo Schools that may hereafter be established.

We beg. leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty will be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction this arrangement.

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.

N.P. 1820 / 1903.
