Whereas we have had under our consideration the duties which devolve upon the Senior Medical Officer of the Flag Ship of the Commander-in-Chief of the Home Fleet :

And whereas the responsibilities of this Officer are fully equal to those of the corresponding Officer in the Channel Fleet, whose remuneration includes 5s. a day as " Flag Allowance."

We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction the issue of a Flag Allowance of 5s. a day to the Senior Medical Officer of the Flagship of the Commander-in- Chief of the Home Fleet, payment to commence as from the 8th February 1904.

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
