Keeper and Steward of the Royal Cabins in His Majesty's Yacht "Victoria and Albert" — Increased rate of pay
|
Admiralty Order in Council No. 76a.
16th May 1904.
A.G.
Whereas we have had under our consideration the pay of the Keeper and Steward of the Royal Cabins in Your Majesty's Yacht " Victoria and Albert," which by Order in Council of Her late Majesty bearing date the 19th January 1886 is fixed at 4s. 3d. a day on appointment, and 5s. a day at the expiration of four years' service in the rating :
And whereas we are of opinion that, in view of the large augmentation to the duties of the post in Your Majesty's new yacht, some increase in the scale of pay allotted is desirable :
We beg humbly to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction, as from 1st April 1904, the following rate of pay for the holder of this rating, viz. : —
4s. 6d. a day on appointment,
6s. 0d. a day after 4 years,
7s. 6d. a day after 8 years,
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
