Admiralty Order in Council No. 82
10 August 1904.
N.L.
Whereas we have this day submitted a Memorial to Your Majesty praying that the Order in Council of Her late Majesty bearing date the 10th March 1882 respecting the Constitution of the Board of Admiralty shall be rescinded, and that another Order in Council may be substituted for it.
And whereas in the said Order in Council of the 10th March 1882, provision was made for the emoluments of the Permanent Secretary of the Admiralty.
We beg leave to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction the receipt by the Permanent Secretary of the same salary and allowance as heretofore, namely, a salary of £1,800 a year and a house, or an allowance of £200 a year in lieu of a house.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
N.L. 10315 / 1904.
