Local Audit at Wei-hai-Wei — Reduced Allowance to the Officer conducting duties of

Admiralty Order in Council No. 88*

24 October 1904.

C.

Whereas we are of opinion that it is desirable, in consequence of the transfer of the greater part of the Naval Stores from Wei-hai-Wei, that the allowance of £40 per annum hitherto paid to the officer of Your Majesty's Fleet for the duties of local audit at this establishment, under the powers conferred on us by Order in Council of Her late Majesty bearing date the 19 December 1881, should now be reduced :

We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction the payment of an Allowance of £16 per annum to the Officer of Your Majesty's Fleet conducting the duties of Local Audit at Wei-hai-Wei :

We further beg leave humbly to recommend that we may be authorised to increase the allowance, should circumstances require it, to any sum not exceeding Forty Pounds per annum.

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in these proposals.
