Whereas under Orders in Council of Her late Majesty, allowances of 2s. 6d. a day are payable to Paymasters, Assistant Paymasters, or Clerks, who perform the duties of Senior Officers' Clerks in certain Divisions of Stations abroad :
And whereas it becomes necessary from time to time to arrange for such duties to be carried out in other Divisions :
We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to empower us at our discretion to award Senior Officer's Clerk's allowance of 2s. 6d. a day in respect of any Division of a Naval Station, the arrangement to take effect as from the 1st November 1903 and to be applicable to Officers of all Branches of Your Majesty's Naval Service.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
