Foreign Service Leave to Officers — Rule requiring a minimum period of qualifying service abroad, rescinded
|
Admiralty Order in Council No. 112a
11th July 1905.
N.
Whereas under the Regulations for the government of Your Majesty's Naval Service the Foreign Service Leave granted to Officers of Your Majesty's Navy is limited to those who have served on a Foreign Station for twelve months or more :
And whereas with a view to securing uniformity in the method of granting leave to officers and men of the Fleet we consider it desirable that Foreign Service Leave should be allowed to officers according to the graduated scale now in force, but without any condition as to the length of time they serve abroad :
We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to authorise us accordingly to rescind the rule requiring a minimum period of qualifying service abroad.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
