Payment of Command Money, in addition to the allowance for Navigating Duties, to the Officer (if below the rank of Commander) appointed to command the Tender to the Navigation School Ship

Admiralty Order in Council No. 125.

20th November 1905.

A.

Whereas by Article 1413, clause 4 of the Regulations for the government of Your Majesty's Naval Service, it is laid down that an officer qualified to receive an allowance for Navigating duties shall not, when appointed in command of one of Your Majesty's vessels, receive command money in addition to the allowance for Navigating duties :

And whereas we are of opinion that it is desirable to except the Lieutenant holding the appointment of Commanding Officer of the gunboat or other vessel attached as tender to Your Majesty's Navigation School Ship from the operation of this regulation :

We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to authorise the payment of command money in addition to the allowance for Navigating duties to the officer (if below the rank of Commander) appointed to command the tender to the Navigation School Ship, to take effect from the 1 April 1905.

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.
