Store Allowance to the Barrack Master at R.N. Barracks, Shotley, and at any Barracks which may be subsequently built

Admiralty Order in Council No. 132.

16 February 1906.

A.G.

Whereas we have found it necessary to create the post of Barrack Master at the new Naval Barracks at Shotley, such post to be filled by a Warrant Officer, a Commissioned Warrant Officer, or a Lieutenant promoted therefrom :

And whereas we are of opinion that the duties and responsibilities of this officer in respect of the stores placed in his charge are such as to entitle him to the Store Allowance of 1s. 6d. a day sanctioned for Barrack Masters at Sheerness, Chatham, Portsmouth, and Devonport, by Order in Council of Her late Majesty bearing date the 26th September 1891 :

We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to sanction payment accordingly as from the 3rd June last, and further to empower us to award, at our discretion, an allowance at the same rate to any officer (being a Warrant Officer, Commissioned Warrant Officer or Lieutenant promoted therefrom) who may be employed as Barrack Master at any other Naval Barracks which may hereafter be built.

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in this proposal.

N.P. 721 / 1906.
