Revised scale of Flag Allowances. Grant of Flag Allowance to Commander appointed as Executive Officer on board Flag ships
|
Admiralty Order in Council No. 152.
22nd October 1906.
N.
Whereas we have had under our consideration the position of the Commander appointed as Executive Officer on board the Flag Ships of Commanders-in-Chief and other Flag Officers
And whereas we are of opinion that the duties and responsibilities of this Officer justify the grant to him of a Flag allowance similar to that payable to certain other Officers in the Flag Ships :
And whereas we consider it desirable that the present Scale of Flag allowances generally should be revised with a view to all being regulated on the same general principles :
We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty may be pleased to sanction the substitution of the allowances shewn in the accompanying Schedule for those at present authorised, such allowances to come into force in the case of the Executive Commanders as from the 1 January 1907 and, in the other cases, as Officers complete their existing appointments.
The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence in the foregoing proposal.
