Conjurers Lodge, Corner of Clements Lane and Chiswell - Portland

Conjurers Lodge - now a Joinery Workshop.

Said to have been used as a Methodist Chapel from 1816 by Charles Whittle and Robert Hinde, following their ejection from the Methodist Church because of their belief in witchcraft.* The external steps lead to the Long Room in which services were held. They returned to the Methodist Society in 1826.**
