Circular No. 419.

Admiralty, 30th April, 1860.

With reference to Circular Order, No. 13, of 14th March, 1848, and to Article 57, page 34 of the Instructions for Paymasters of the Navy, my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty are pleased to direct that the following Form of Certificate be substituted for that at present in force, whenever it may be considered desirable to issue an extra allowance of Spirits to the Engineers and Stokers of Her Majesty's Ships, viz. :

"I hereby certify that this extra issue will be in my opinion beneficial."
