Postcard posted in February 1907

Snippet: 12 Jan, 1907 it was reported that the coaling record for Portsmouth was again broken yesterday, when the battleship King Edward VII, flagship of the Atlantic Fleet, took in 1,060 tons in two hours 55 minutes, being an average of 363.4 tons per hour. The previous highest record was that of the battleship Goliath, of the Channel Fleet, when 1,630 tons were shipped in five hours 13 minutes. Both vessels coaled from the floating depot.
