This group has been established to continue the work of the Isle Madame Listserv, helping family genealogists to trace any and all people who have lived in the Richmond County area. This group mainly discusses the villages of D'Escousse, Poulamon, Arichat, West Arichat, Petit de Grat, as well as the surrounding areas of River Bourgeois, St. Peter's and L'Ardoise.

The group is also interested in history of the area, its settlers, and their culture, (Acadians, Irish, Channel Islands...) so any information that will help shed light on the heritage of these families is encouraged. 

Please note, this group is not intended to be a forum for genealogical interests beyond the above mentioned communities, their peoples, and their descendants.
