Thirtieth Anniversary Celebrated Friday by Mr. & Mrs. Hiram Peavey
North Belgrade Me. Sept 25 Special ---------Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Peavey celebrated the 30th anniversary of their marriage today. Mr. and Mrs. Peavey are natives of New York State. For the past 25 years they have lived in various places in Maine coming here five years ago. Their 10 children, eight sons and two daughters, none of them are married were present at the celebration. John Peavey of Melrose Mass, William Peavey of Hyde Park, Mass, William Peavey, Jr. of Mattapan, Mass., Frank Peavey of Newport NH, Edward Peavey of Berlin Falls N.H. Timothy Peavey of Berwick, Henry Peavey of Lincoln, and Moses Peavey of Canaan, Mary Peavey, a teacher in the public schools of Springfield Mass., and Estelle Peavey, a school teacher in the public schools of Franklin N.H. are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Peavey. Over 100 friends and neighbors gathered at Peavey home today at noon. They were served a bounteous Harvest dinner and afterwards listened to a short but interesting program.

The program was as follows, Poem �Where Roses Bud and Blossom�, Miss Rosa Hayward song, �When the Sunset Turns the Oceans Blue to Gold. Ruby Enid Wentworth recitation, �Jest Mon Bill� Harold Arthur Somsby, violin solo, Susie May Fellows piano solo with violoin obligato, Henerietta Stowell and Guy B. Marsten recitation �The Old Wooden Rocker� William Barstowe.

Mr. and Mrs. Peavey received many valuable and useful presents from their numerous neighbors and friends.
