Camillus Ferrer of Barbour Co AL sold land in Stewart Co GA to C. Wynn on March 5 1862 and to Rufus Allen Dec 28 1864.
Camillus Ferrer fought for the Confederates. He is listed in the Mississippi Calvery Jeff Davis Legion, Co K, Private. (alternate name is C Farrar) 4th Ala Calvary "Love's" Battalion was raised in Barbour Co AL. (Cornelius Ferris Co "C", Private is shown) When 4th Ala Co "C" was transfered to the Jeff Davis Legion it became Co "K" or Roberts� (Capt G A Roberts) Company (raised in AL). [The transfer of Co C AL to Co K MS was in the last half of 1864.] The Jeff Davis Legion was in the brigade of Gen. P. M. B. Young and had an aggregate present and absent of 868. Its final service was in the Carolina campaign against Sherman, under General Hampton.
Camillus Ferrer died 1864-65. Index to Alabama Wills, Camillus Ferror, Barbour Co AL, Orphans Court Records # 14, page 551, Camillus Ferror wrote his will April 18 1864. It was probated Sept 18 1865 in Barbour Co AL, Camillus Ferror, deceased. (LDS film 1289497 item 2 page 551) His beloved wife is Harriet Ferror. His brother in law is Anderson Sims. Orphans Record # 20 page 273-275, Anderson Sims files his final report and Jns A Foster is appointed Guardian of the minor children.
